
Phyliss Morris
Phyliss grew up on the North Coast of NSW and is currently based in Brunswick Heads. She has a Master’s degree from the Australian National University, a Diploma in Remedial Massage from Kingscliff Tafe and a Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching from Byron Yoga Centre. Having academic strengths in science and an interest in both the environment and health, she pursued a career in environmental management prior to shifting her focus to health and wellbeing.
She began her journey into body work after a lifelong love of yoga and travel in Pacific Island nations. She taught individual and group yoga classes in the Solomon Islands and Samoa. On return to her home base in Brunswick Heads she trained as a Swedish Massage Therapist and since then she has offered mobile massage to group getaways in luxury accommodation in the Byron area and continued to train in massage therapy.
Prior to coming to work in the clinic she completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy. She is compassionate and understanding of the diverse clients that come into the clinic and their specific needs and preferences. She applies her knowledge of functional anatomy and orthopaedic assessment to individualise treatment to relieve pain and restore mobility. Her clinical experience includes deep tissue, trigger points, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques. Clients trust her intuition and appreciate her advice and aftercare to safeguard against pain and injury.
In her free time, she enjoys personal fitness which includes strength and resistance training. She practises yoga to stay grounded and plays social golf and tennis.
