Growing up in Byron Bay, Jono has been exposed to many healing modalities. As an 18-year-old he was introduced to Osteopathy, and from there, a seed was planted in his awareness of the power of the body’s healing ability.
After 5 years of travelling, working and surfing around the world, he returned back to his hometown to study Osteopathy. Time abroad taught him invaluable lessons on humankind and the world at large. This is carried into his treatments. He is forever humbled and grateful from these experiences.
With a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences – Human structure and function, and a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine, Jono believes there are many layers involved in assisting the patient’s return to health. For him, it is about applying the methods and techniques that are specific for the individual, to assist the patient in their healing process.
After witnessing the amazing results Karen Bryant has achieved with her patients, Jono has spent the last few years observing and learning from Karen and implements her approach with his treatments.
Jono utilises a gentle style to treatment to allow the patient’s body to let go. His treatment techniques include cranial osteopathy, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, soft tissue therapy, positional release, counter-strain, balanced ligamentous tension and visceral osteopathy. He enjoys treating all ages from infants to the elderly.
